About Us

PROACTIVE NYS is a collaborative study. Our team includes Pediatric Infectious Disease experts from around New York State, the New York State Department of Health Newborn Screen program, Frontier Science & Technology, our patients, their families, and their Pediatricians.

The study is funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), a branch of the NIH that aims to “lead research and training to understand human development, improve reproductive health, enhance the lives of children and adolescents, and optimize abilities for all”.
